Mrs. Jane Trueman died at Belmore on Wednesday. Deceased was mother of Mrs. Hector Caldwell, with whom she had resided for some years.
The newspaper half of the evidence for the child link: Jane Child's country obituary states that Mrs Hector Caldwell is her daughter. Her Sydney Morning Herald notices (citations 49519-49522) list "Mr and Mrs. H. Caldwell" among four couples without expanding the initial; this article does. A second, independent statement of the same relationship appears in the same paper on 12 July 1930 ("Mrs. Trueman, mother of Mrs. Hector Caldwell, of Larras Lee"), cited on Jane herself in my proposal #596.
