Volunteer transcriptions of monumental inscriptions and burial registers, indexed by cemetery. The transcribers mark uncertain figures with a question mark; a queried age or year is a warning not to rely on it.
Given names: Annie | Family Name: Murray | Birth Date: 2 Feb 1914 | Death Date: 2 Feb 1914 | Age: 0 | BDM Death Reg: 1914/C/1836 | Cemetery: Hughenden | Cem Plot: 780 | Father Given Names: Peter Wilson | Mother Given Names: Annie
Headstone confirms same-day birth and death (2 Feb 1914) at Hughenden, matching both the tree and the BDM death registration exactly; plot 780 shared with twin brother #5737 corroborates the twin relationship.
Given names: Annie | Family Name: Murray | Birth Date: 2 Feb 1914 | Death Date: 2 Feb 1914 | Age: 0 | BDM Death Reg: 1914/C/1836 | Cemetery: Hughenden | Cem Plot: 780 | Father Given Names: Peter Wilson | Mother Given Names: Annie
Same headstone; second citation, on the DEAT event.
Given names: Fred Colin | Family Name: Murray | Birth Date: 2 Feb 1914 | BDM Birth Reg: 1914/C/5936 | Death Date: 2 Feb 1914 | Age: 0 | BDM Death Reg: 1914/C/1835 | Cemetery: Hughenden | Cem Plot: 780 | Father Given Names: Peter Wilson | Mother Given Names: Annie
Headstone gives an exact birth registration number and shared plot 780 with twin sister #5707. Deliberately citing the BIRT event only: the headstone's own Death Date field reads '2 Feb 1914', which conflicts with the tree's DEAT date (3 FEB 1914) and with the QLD BDM death registration ('03/02/1914', 1914/C/1835, same reg number this headstone cites) cited above - two independent sources agree on 3 Feb against this one headstone reading, so the tree's death date is left untouched and no citation is added to the DEAT event from this source.
Given names: Peter Wilson | Family Name: Murray | Birth Date: 15 Nov 1884 | BDM Birth Reg: 1884/C/7526 | Death Date: 14 Feb 1920 | Age: 35 | BDM Death Reg: 1920/C/571 | Cemetery: Hughenden | Cem Plot: 1913 | Father Given Names: Thomas McColl | Mother Given Names: Esther | Mother Birth/Maiden Name: Rodgers | Spouse Given Names: Annie | Spouse Birth/Maiden Name: Richards | BDM Marriage Reg: 1913/C/1459
Hughenden Cemetery headstone transcription. Birth date and reg number match tree exactly; this is the source of the 'Wilson' middle name.
Given names: Peter Wilson | Family Name: Murray | Birth Date: 15 Nov 1884 | BDM Birth Reg: 1884/C/7526 | Death Date: 14 Feb 1920 | Age: 35 | BDM Death Reg: 1920/C/571 | Cemetery: Hughenden | Cem Plot: 1913 | Father Given Names: Thomas McColl | Mother Given Names: Esther | Mother Birth/Maiden Name: Rodgers | Spouse Given Names: Annie | Spouse Birth/Maiden Name: Richards | BDM Marriage Reg: 1913/C/1459
Same headstone; death date, age (35, consistent with the birth-to-death interval) and death place (Hughenden) all match the tree's DEAT event exactly.
Given names: Peter Wilson | Family Name: Murray | Birth Date: 15 Nov 1884 | BDM Birth Reg: 1884/C/7526 | Death Date: 14 Feb 1920 | Age: 35 | BDM Death Reg: 1920/C/571 | Cemetery: Hughenden | Cem Plot: 1913 | Father Given Names: Thomas McColl | Mother Given Names: Esther | Mother Birth/Maiden Name: Rodgers | Spouse Given Names: Annie | Spouse Birth/Maiden Name: Richards | BDM Marriage Reg: 1913/C/1459
Cem Plot '1913' matches the tree's existing (previously uncited) Buried-event summary '1913' exactly.
Given names: Thomas James | Family Name: Murray | Birth Date: 8 Oct 1917 | BDM Birth Reg: QLD 1917/C/13581 | Death Date: 25 May 1942 | Age: 24 | BDM Death Reg: QLD 1942/C/4147 | Cemetery: Belgian Gardens War Old | Cem Plot: 8 | Father Given Names: Peter Wilson | Mother Given Names: Annie
Headstone birth date 8 Oct 1917 with exact QLD reg number matches the tree's BIRT event exactly.
Given names: Thomas James | Family Name: Murray | Birth Date: 8 Oct 1917 | BDM Birth Reg: QLD 1917/C/13581 | Death Date: 25 May 1942 | Age: 24 | BDM Death Reg: QLD 1942/C/4147 | Cemetery: Belgian Gardens War Old | Cem Plot: 8 | Father Given Names: Peter Wilson | Mother Given Names: Annie
Headstone death date 25 May 1942, age 24, with exact QLD reg number matches the tree's DEAT event exactly; second, independent citation alongside the BDM index citation above.
Ezzy | William James | 8 Feb 1818 | 27 Aug 1884 | 66 | son/John & Rebecca (Lamb); b. Windsor NSW, Australia; h/Mary Ann (Mayo) | Millthorpe NSW
The Birth column gives 8 Feb 1818, matching the tree's 8 FEB 1818 exactly, and the Details column gives "b. Windsor NSW, Australia" — Windsor being the settlement the tree records under its older name, Mulgrave Place. Columns in the site's own order: Family Name, Given Names, Birth, Death, Age, Details, Cemetery.
Ezzey | John | 29 Oct 1795 | 29 May 1869 | 73 | son/William & Jane (Floyd); b. Richmond, New South Wales, Australia; h/Rebecca (Lamb) | Richmond Anglican NSW | Family Vault, Row 2, 41/42 SecA
The one result row for this man, its cells quoted in the results table's own column order: Family Name, Given Names, Birth, Death, Age, Details, Cemetery, Row/Plot. This is the evidence for the change. Birth 29 Oct 1795 with age 73 is internally consistent for a death on 29 May 1869; 29 Oct 1797 would give 71. The parents William and Jane (Floyd) and the wife Rebecca (Lamb) match the tree, which is what identifies the monument as his. A transcription of a monument, so secondary; the index marks uncertain figures with a question mark and neither figure here is queried.
Ezzey | John | 29 Oct 1795 | 29 May 1869 | 73 | son/William & Jane (Floyd); b. Richmond, New South Wales, Australia; h/Rebecca (Lamb) | Richmond Anglican NSW | Family Vault, Row 2, 41/42 SecA
The Death column gives 29 May 1869, the date already in the tree and the date his death notice reports as "the 29th instant". The Age column, 73, is internally consistent with the 29 OCT 1795 birth now on the record and would not be with 1797.
The Birth column gives 19 Nov 1797, matching the tree to the day. The Details column gives her birth place as Mulgrave Place, Windsor, which contradicts the Parramatta recorded here and independently indexed by BDA. I have changed nothing: the two external sources disagree with each other.
The Death column gives 5 Apr 1867, one day before the 6 April recorded here and printed in both the Empire and the Sydney Mail from the family's own notice. The date has not been changed: a contemporaneous family insertion outranks a transcribed inscription, and a one-day slip between death and the stone is ordinary.
Given names: Reuben William | Family Name: Ezzy | Birth Date: 7 Apr 1851 | Birth Town and State: Grose Vale NSW | Birth Country: Australia | BDM Birth Reg: 805/1851 V1851805 158
Structured Individual Details fields, quoted in the source's own column order. Confirms the already-recorded birth date 7 Apr 1851 (previously uncited) and corrects the birthplace from the tree's uncited 'Richmond, New South Wales' (placeId 2102) to 'Grose Vale NSW' (existing placeId 4785, set above).
Ezzey | Henry | 4 Apr 1826 | 15 Dec 1898 | 72 | son/John & Rebecca (Lamb); b. Mulgrave Place (now Cornwallis), Windsor NSW, Australia; h/Mary Anne (Witney) | Richmond Anglican NSW | 5, 86 Sect A
The Birth column gives 4 Apr 1826, matching this event to the day, and the Details column gives the birthplace as "Mulgrave Place (now Cornwallis), Windsor" — the same historical place row #4776 this event already points at, with the index naming Cornwallis where the tree's row names Windsor as the modern equivalent. Nothing changed.
Ezzey | Henry | 4 Apr 1826 | 15 Dec 1898 | 72 | son/John & Rebecca (Lamb); b. Mulgrave Place (now Cornwallis), Windsor NSW, Australia; h/Mary Anne (Witney) | Richmond Anglican NSW | 5, 86 Sect A
The Death column gives 15 Dec 1898, matching this event to the day; the Age column, 72, is consistent with the 4 Apr 1826 birth. The monument does not give a place of death, so the recorded Grose Vale is untouched — it is in the Richmond registration district, which is the district on the disputed death-index row.
Given names: Jane Emiline | Family Name: Ezzy | Birth/Maiden Name: Wenban | Birth Date: 1 Jul 1857 | Birth Town and State: Wilberforce NSW | Birth Country: Australia | BDM Birth Reg: 11989/1857 | Father Given Names: David Henry | Father Birth Name: Wenban | Mother Given Names: Mary Ann | Mother Birth/Maiden Name: Greentree
Same page as above. Confirms the already-recorded birth date 1 Jul 1857 and birthplace Wilberforce NSW (placeId 1233), both previously uncited on #21815.
George Barber | 10 Apr 1932 | age 72 | Charleville QLD | Father: George | Mother: Fanny (Parker) | Spouses: Florence (Gifford) & Mary Ann Toub
Independent of the newspaper and agrees with it on age 72, and with the Queensland death registration 1932/C/1374 on both parents. Second corroboration that the register's 1857 birth year is too early. No primary English birth registration was found: FreeBMD has no George Barber registered in any Kent district in 1859 or 1860 (there is one in North Aylesford, June quarter 1857 and one in Hoo, December quarter 1861), so the exact date remains unestablished and the tree's 1860 is left as it stands.
Cilento (Gellento) | Salvator (Salvadore) | 27 Oct 1831 | 6 Oct 1914 | 82 | b. Seiano, Campania, Italy; h/Elizabeth (Watson) | Port Augusta SA
One index row, cell values in the site's own column order: Family Name | Given Names | Birth | Death | Age | Details | Cemetery | Row, Plot (the last cell is empty). The Birth cell and the Details cell together evidence the birth date 27 OCT 1831 and the birthplace Seiano, both already on this record and both previously uncited. The bracketed 'Gellento' and 'Salvadore' match the aka name held on him.
Cilento (Gellento) | Salvator (Salvadore) | 27 Oct 1831 | 6 Oct 1914 | 82 | b. Seiano, Campania, Italy; h/Elizabeth (Watson) | Port Augusta SA
Same row; the Death, Age and Cemetery cells evidence the death date 6 OCT 1914 and Port Augusta. Age 82 in Oct 1914 agrees with the birth date of Oct 1831. 'h/Elizabeth (Watson)' corroborates the marriage to Elizabeth Watson (#70132).
Cilento | Joseph Victor | 1857 | 26 Mar 1912 | 54? | son/Salvator & Elizabeth (Watson) | Port Augusta SA
One index row, cell values in the site's own column order: Family Name | Given Names | Birth | Death | Age | Details | Cemetery | Row, Plot (the last cell is empty). Confirms the death date 26 MAR 1912 and Port Augusta already on the record; the '?' on the age is the transcriber flagging a worn figure. A second Joseph Victor Cilento in the same index (d. 25 Aug 1964, Centennial Park, 'son/Martha') is this man's son, not him.
Two EZZY brothers married two WENBAN sisters - The weddings of Reuben EZZY to Jane WENBAN, and Alfred EZZY to Amy WENBAN were at the same church St David's CoE, Spring Terrace (near Millthorpe), on the same day 5 Aug 1880 and by the same Celebrant Francis BOYCE. The two couples are also buried in the same cemetery St Mark Evangelista in Millthorpe NSW; behind the old Catholic school at Millthorpe is a there is a memorial wall which includes a plaque to the Ezzy family - "The Ezzy Family - William James and Maryann, 1818-1884, 1829-1899, settled at Millthorpe in 1872. Their son Alfred and wife Amy Elizabeth returned to "Woodside" in 1895. Presented by Beatrice Bentley"
'Other Information' free-text field on Reuben's own austcem inscription (16015524). Corrects the bare year-only 1880 MARR event (previously placeId 1155 'Orange, NSW', now cleared) to the exact date and venue. Also independently evidences a second missing marriage (Alfred Ezzy #21776 x Amy Elizabeth Wenban) which is outside this proposal's scope and not acted on here.
Ezzy | William James | 8 Feb 1818 | 27 Aug 1884 | 66 | son/John & Rebecca (Lamb); b. Windsor NSW, Australia; h/Mary Ann (Mayo) | Millthorpe NSW
Same row as on the person record, quoted in the site's own column order (Family Name, Given Names, Birth, Death, Age, Details, Cemetery). The burial event carries no date: the index publishes birth and death dates, not the date of interment. Place set to Millthorpe, the town row (#4772); the cemetery itself has no place row and I did not create one. This replaces my earlier quotation, which reproduced my client's rendering rather than the source's.
The index's own address line for the cemetery, returned as the header row of the Goulburn General result set. The burial date itself is not given; only the death date 24 Jul 1968 is, so this event carries no date. Goulburn General Cemetery is not in the place table; the event is pegged to Goulburn #75.
The Cemetery column. Her row gives no plot, unlike her husband's, which is in the family vault at the same cemetery. The burial event carries no date: the index publishes birth and death dates, not the date of interment. Place set to Richmond, the town row (#2102); the cemetery itself has no place row and I did not create one.
IN MEMORY OF / REBECCA / [...] / BORN NOVEMBER [...] 1797 / DIED [...] 1867
Top of the weathered Ezzey family vault slab at Richmond Anglican (media 291), quoted only as far as legible in the photograph; [...] marks characters I could not read. The index transcribes the full dates as born 19 Nov 1797, died 5 Apr 1867 (citation 49542 on this event). The photograph is of the actual burial slab in the Family Vault, Row 2, 41/42 Sec A.
Ezzy | William | 1765 | 23 Apr 1830 | 65 | son/William & Mary (Golding); b. Beenham, Berkshire, England; h/Jane (Floyd) & Jane (Mills) | Windsor Anglican Church NSW
The Cemetery column. The burial event carries no date: the index publishes birth and death dates, not the date of interment. Place set to Windsor, the town row (#1982); the churchyard itself has no place row and I did not create one.
IN MEMORY OF OUR ANCESTORS / ARRIVED ON THE ROYAL ADMIRAL 1792 / WILLIAM EZZY / DIED 23RD APRIL 1830 / BURIED ST MATTHEWS, WINDSOR / AND HIS WIFE JANE / DIED 11TH AUGUST 1821 / BURIED DEVONSHIRE ST CEMETERY / LATER REMOVED TO BOTANY / REMEMBERED BY THEIR DESCENDANTS / WITH THIS PLAQUE APRIL 1985
Read from the photograph of the bronze plaque (media 284), line breaks marked with /. Quality 2, not 3: the plaque was erected by descendants in April 1985, 155 years after the burial, so it is a modern compilation cast in bronze rather than a contemporary stone. It confirms the burial place (St Matthews, Windsor), the death date already recorded, and independently repeats the 1792 Royal Admiral arrival cited on the IMMI event from BDA.
Ezzey | Jane | 1770? | 11 Aug 1821 | 51 | | Devonshire Street NSW | C/E 347
Index row in the site's own column order: Family Name, Given Names, Birth, Death, Age, Details, Cemetery, Row/Plot. The Details column is empty, so this row does not itself name her husband; the query mark on 1770 is the transcriber's warning that the birth year is uncertain. It is attached to this woman by the chain set out in the proposal note. No death place is recorded: this row puts her burial at Devonshire Street in Sydney while BDA gives her death at Windsor, and I did not create a place row for the Devonshire Street burial ground.
AND HIS WIFE JANE / DIED 11TH AUGUST 1821 / BURIED DEVONSHIRE ST CEMETERY / LATER REMOVED TO BOTANY
The Jane lines of the same 1985 plaque (media 284), read from the photograph. Confirms the death date 11 Aug 1821 already on this event and the Devonshire Street burial the existing citation 49631 records, and adds that the remains were later removed to Botany. Quality 2 as a descendants' memorial erected in 1985.
Charles | Thomas | 14 May 1816 | 7 Aug 1898 | 82 | son/John & Martha (Freeman); b. Normanton on Soar Nottinghamshire, England; h/Sarah (Cole) | Goulburn Old NSW | Pbn Old 482
Index row, values in the site's own column order: Family Name | Given Names | Birth | Death | Age | Details | Cemetery | Row, Plot. "son/" and "h/" are the index's relationship codes for parents and husband-of. Retrieved 2026-08-29 by a search on family_name=Charles, given_names=Thomas; the linked inscription page returned HTTP 429 and was not read, so I cannot say which of these details are cut on the stone and which the transcriber added.
Charles (Cole) | Sarah Ann | 1 Jan 1816 | 10 Jul 1882 | 66 | dau/John & Rhoda (Herbert); b. Lutterworth Leicestershire, England; w/Thomas | Goulburn Old NSW
Index row, values in the site's own column order: Family Name | Given Names | Birth | Death | Age | Details | Cemetery. The Row, Plot column is blank for her. "dau/" and "w/" are the index's relationship codes for parents and wife-of; "Charles (Cole)" is its convention for married name with maiden name in brackets. Retrieved 2026-08-29 by a search on family_name=Charles; the linked inscription page returned HTTP 429 and was not read.
Ezzey | John | 29 Oct 1795 | 29 May 1869 | 73 | son/William & Jane (Floyd); b. Richmond, New South Wales, Australia; h/Rebecca (Lamb) | Richmond Anglican NSW | Family Vault, Row 2, 41/42 SecA
The last two columns are the cemetery and the plot. The burial event carries no date: the index publishes birth and death dates, not the date of interment. The same page shows the same vault holding his son Joseph #21794 ("Family Vault 2, 41/42 SecA") and his granddaughter Edith Eudora, d. 12 Jun 1869. Place set to Richmond, the town row #2102; the cemetery itself has no place row and I did not create one.
Ezzey | Henry | 4 Apr 1826 | 15 Dec 1898 | 72 | son/John & Rebecca (Lamb); b. Mulgrave Place (now Cornwallis), Windsor NSW, Australia; h/Mary Anne (Witney) | Richmond Anglican NSW | 5, 86 Sect A
The last two columns are the cemetery and the plot. The burial carries no date: the index publishes birth and death dates, not the date of interment. This is a different plot from his parents' family vault (Row 2, 41/42 Sec A) at the same cemetery; the same page shows plot 5, 86 Sect A also holding Mary Anne Ezzey (Witney), d. 26 Jul 1919, and Medora Florence (Dora) Ezzey, d. 15 May 1946. Place set to Richmond, the town row #2102; the cemetery has no place row and I did not create one.
IN MEMORY OF / HENRY EZZEY / BORN 4TH APRIL 1826 / DIED 15TH DECEMBER 1898 / ALSO HIS WIFE / MARY ANNE / BORN ENGLAND 29TH JUNE 1840 / DIED 26TH JULY 1919 / ERECTED BY THEIR DESCENDANTS 1986 / MEDORA FLORENCE EZZEY / DAUGHTER OF THE ABOVE / DIED 15TH MAY 1946 AGED 74 YEARS
Read from the photograph of the bronze plaque at the plot (media 292), line breaks marked with /. Quality 2: erected by descendants in 1986. Confirms Henry's birth and death dates exactly as recorded, and names his wife Mary Anne and daughter Medora Florence, who share the plot per the index but are not linked as his family in the tree (see proposal note).
Bertha Victoria Stark (Stallman) | GRAVE | 1959 | Age 60 | Place: Taabinga QLD | Father: Christian | Mother: Bertha Victoria (Niebling) | Spouse: Richard
Headstone at Taabinga QLD (place id 3289, exact name match). Independently corroborates the tree's death year (of the exact 6 JUL 1959 DEAT date), father Christian Stallmann and mother Bertha Victoria (Niebling) of family 2206, and spouse Richard -- matching family 2457 and also reconciling the marriage-record spelling variant Stack/Stark toward the tree's 'Stark'. Person had no death place recorded at all before this proposal.
Isaiah Titmarsh | GRAVE | 24 Feb 1933 | age 64 | Harrisville QLD | son/Isaiah & Janet Alexander (Adams); b. Redbank Plains, Qld; h/Gertrude Ethel (Baines)
Exact match on birth date (2 MAY 1868), death date (24 FEB 1933), spouse (family 2930) and parents (family 11820) all at once — no plausible second candidate.
Bertha Victoria Stallmann (Niebling) | GRAVE | 14 May 1901 | Age 38 | Place: Haigslea Lawn QLD | Father: John | Mother: Dorothea (Togler) | Spouse: Christian
Headstone at Haigslea Lawn Cemetery; independently corroborates the exact death date (14 May 1901, matching the DEAT event), spouse Christian (family 2206), and age 38 (consistent with the tree's 14 DEC 1862 birth date). Repeats the same father-given-name discrepancy as the death registration ('John' vs the tree's 'Joseph', #9120) — see the DEAT citation's note; not resolved here. Also gives the mother's maiden name as 'Togler', where the tree's own link (#5841 Dorothea Niebling, said to be herself a birth Niebling per family 2759) is unexamined by this proposal; reported separately, not acted on.
Given names: James Alfred; Family Name: Titmarsh; Birth Date: 1 Feb 1875; BDM Birth Reg: Qld 1875/C/1322; Death Date: 20 Feb 1950; BDM Death Reg: Qld 1950/C/524; Cemetery: Ipswich General; Cem Portion: Ang New B; Spouse Given Names: Frances; Spouse Birth/Maiden Name: Tuckett; BDM Marriage Reg: Qld 1905/C/1219; Father Given Names: John; Father Birth Name: Titmarsh; Mother Given Names: Eliza Elizabeth; Mother Birth/Maiden Name: Hunt
Corroborates birth/death regs above and the 1905 marriage-reg number (see the separate contested-marriage-date proposal). A headstone photo exists on this inscription page but was not fetched/uploaded this pass.
name: Frances Titmarsh (Tuckett); event: GRAVE; date: 7 Aug 1950; age: 77; place: Ipswich General QLD; detail: formerly Baines; dau/Aaron & Frances (Butler); w/Robert Ebenezer (Baines) & James Alfred; born: 9 Mar 1873
From the batch search-results row (individual inscription id 15888973 cross-linked from James's page 429'd/overloaded on isolated retry this session - flag for retry rather than a fetch failure being silently dropped).
Given names: Thomas James | Family Name: Murray | Birth Date: 8 Oct 1917 | BDM Birth Reg: QLD 1917/C/13581 | Death Date: 25 May 1942 | Age: 24 | BDM Death Reg: QLD 1942/C/4147 | Cemetery: Belgian Gardens War Old | Cem Plot: 8 | Father Given Names: Peter Wilson | Mother Given Names: Annie
New burial fact not previously in the tree: plot 8, Belgian Gardens War Old cemetery (existing place #1333 'Belgian Gardens, Queensland, Australia').
Given names: Peter Wilson | Family Name: Murray | Birth Date: 15 Nov 1884 | BDM Birth Reg: 1884/C/7526 | Death Date: 14 Feb 1920 | Age: 35 | BDM Death Reg: 1920/C/571 | Cemetery: Hughenden | Cem Plot: 1913 | Father Given Names: Thomas McColl | Mother Given Names: Esther | Mother Birth/Maiden Name: Rodgers | Spouse Given Names: Annie | Spouse Birth/Maiden Name: Richards | BDM Marriage Reg: 1913/C/1459
Spouse 'Annie' (Richards) + 'BDM Marriage Reg: 1913/C/1459' independently corroborate family 2174's marriage to #6447 and its 4 Dec 1913 date.
Given names: Peter Wilson | Family Name: Murray | Birth Date: 15 Nov 1884 | BDM Birth Reg: 1884/C/7526 | Death Date: 14 Feb 1920 | Age: 35 | BDM Death Reg: 1920/C/571 | Cemetery: Hughenden | Cem Plot: 1913 | Father Given Names: Thomas McColl | Mother Given Names: Esther | Mother Birth/Maiden Name: Rodgers | Spouse Given Names: Annie | Spouse Birth/Maiden Name: Richards | BDM Marriage Reg: 1913/C/1459
Father 'Thomas McColl' + mother 'Esther' (Rodgers) independently corroborate family 2178's husband Thomas McCall Murray #5784 x wife Esther Rodgers #6523 (McColl/McCall spelling variant).
Ezzy | Eliza | 2 Jan 1874 | 6 Feb 1874 | 5w | dau/William James & Mary Ann (Mayo); b. 'Rose Hill' Farm, Spring Grove NSW, Australia | Millthorpe NSW
Monumental inscription for the couple's infant daughter Eliza (#21781), who lived five weeks in 1874. It names both parents, and gives their farm as 'Rose Hill' at Spring Grove - the household this family was living in when the youngest children were born, ten years before the father died there. Columns in the site's own order: Family Name, Given Names, Birth, Death, Age, Details, Cemetery.
IN MEMORY OF / WALTER JOHN 1860 - 1872 / ADA 1862 - 1880 / THEOPHILUS 1865 - 1865 / HERBERT JAMES 1866 - 1866 / KATE 1867 - 1886 / ELIZA 1874 - 1874 / CHILDREN OF WILLIAM JAMES AND MARY ANN EZZY / ALSO THEIR DAUGHTER REBECCA JANE SAMS / WIFE OF GEORGE SAMS DIED 1919, AGED 64 YEARS.
Read from the photograph of the children's plaque on the Ezzy family memorial at Millthorpe (media 298). Quality 2 as a descendants' memorial. Names seven children of family 6641, matching Walter John #21773, Ada #21780, Theophilus #21784, Herbert James #21783, Kate #21779, Eliza #21781 and Rebecca Jane #21771 as the tree records them.
A second, independent witness to the Lamb-Chambers parent link in family #6643, alongside the BDA index row already cited there. This one gives the mother as Elizabeth Caroline (Chambers), with the middle name and the s on Chambers that BDA's "Elizabeth CHAMBER" lacks.
Ezzy | William | 1765 | 23 Apr 1830 | 65 | son/William & Mary (Golding); b. Beenham, Berkshire, England; h/Jane (Floyd) & Jane (Mills) | Windsor Anglican Church NSW
The evidence for filling this family's empty wife slot and for calling the union a marriage: "h/" in this index means husband of, and the row names two successive wives, Jane (Floyd) and Jane (Mills). No marriage date or place is recorded here, because none was found.
Ezzey | John | 29 Oct 1795 | 29 May 1869 | 73 | son/William & Jane (Floyd); b. Richmond, New South Wales, Australia; h/Rebecca (Lamb) | Richmond Anglican NSW | Family Vault, Row 2, 41/42 SecA
The son-side evidence for family #6645, the link from John Ezzey to his father William #21812, which the GEDCOM import carried with no source. The family already holds citation 49634 — the same index's row for William, which names his two wives, Jane (Floyd) and Jane (Mills). This row names the same couple as read off the son's monument, which is what makes the two independent of each other.
Other Information
married 26 Dec 1883 Waterloo NSW
Mary Ann Ezzy's own headstone/index entry. BDM Marriage Reg is 3182/1884 (registration year), but this field gives the actual wedding day as 26 Dec 1883.
