For Harriet Mary Finch (1845–1879)

HARRIET MARY THE BELOVED WIFE OF WENZEL GRENENGER WHO DEPARTED THIS LIFE 26TH JUNE 1879 AGED 34 YEARS ... Also SAMUEL FINCH FATHER OF THE ABOVE WHO DIED 1ST OCT 1886 AGED 80 YEARS

Read by me from the photograph of the monument's upper panel (media 385). Same reading as the citation on Samuel Finch; recorded here because it is the monument's direct statement of Harriet Mary's father.

For Samuel Finch (1806–1886)

Read by me from the photograph of the monument's upper panel (media 385). The opening line above 'HARRIET MARY' and the ornament between the two entries are worn and are elided with '...'; the courses below, for Wenzel Grenenger and Jane Sarah Grenenger, are legible only in part in this photograph and are on the lower panel (media 380). 'FATHER OF THE ABOVE' is the monument's own statement of the relationship, 'the above' being Harriet Mary.
