OCR is heavy: the line reads "An old and respected resident of Goulburn, Mr. Herbert Cole Charles, died at his late residence, 'Rosewood,' on Saturday morning, at the age of 61." The Saturday before this Thursday 24 April 1919 issue is 19 April; the tree records 20 April. Age 61 matches a birth of 21 April 1857 (he would have turned 62 two days after the Saturday).

An age of 63 in September 1922 brackets the birth to roughly September 1858 - September 1859, which contains the recorded 28 January 1859. The birthplace recorded on this event, Picton, is not evidenced by anything I found.

OCR "citzen" = citizen. Confirms the death at Goulburn already recorded. The son she was staying with is named later in the notice as "Mr. William Charles" — William Webster Charles #21724. Published Tuesday 19 September 1922, so the Monday is 18 September; the tree records 8 September and I have not altered it here.

Since taking ill several days ago she had been residing with her son, Mr. William Charles. Her end was unexpected, as on Sunday she was able to walk about the house and was in good spirits.

Trove OCR, quoted as it stands. Read with the opening sentence already cited on this event — "died early on Monday morning at her son's residence, 10 Park-street, after a brief illness" — this fixes the death to the Monday immediately after a Sunday on which she was still walking about, in a paper published on Tuesday 19 September 1922. That Monday is 18 September 1922. The son named is William Webster Charles #21724.

Quoted as the Trove OCR stands; read again this session. This sentence is the whole basis for the month on his birth date: eighty in October 1918 gives October 1838, which is the year the German compilation gives independently. The citation was on the person and not on the birth event it dates; this puts it where it belongs.

Fred. and Les. Grenenger (Goulburn), while another son is in South Afri-ca.

'another son is in South Africa' is the Wenzel Albert Grenenger who wrote home from Central Angoniland in 1903-06 and died in Nyasaland in 1950 (NSW death 999999/1950, Braidwood) — the man previously guessed in this tree to be Wenzel #82883's son Wenzel Edward B, who in fact died as an infant in 1874.
