The recorded birth of 1 Feb 1835 is impossible: she married in February 1846, and the marriage return gives her age as 19. Age 68 in Dec 1893 gives birth c.1825, which fits that marriage age. Her forename in every register entry is Ruth, not Margaret Ruth; the informant is her husband John Metcalf of Derryinver. Death 1885 was also wrong.

He did NOT emigrate to the United States - the EMIG event removed in this proposal was attached to the wrong person. He farmed at Derryinver, appears there in the 1901 census as a widower aged 74 with children Samuel, Lucinda, Margaret and John, later moved to Belfast, and died at 1 Avoneil Street aged 97. The daughter Lucinda who reports the death is one of the children enumerated with him in 1901. It was his daughter Deborah (person 5409) who went to America, where she married in 1881.

Age 90 in 1874 gives birth c.1784, not the 1790 previously recorded; and he died at Derryinver in 1874, not in 1850. The informant John Metcalf of Derryinver is his son (person 5410). Three of his children's marriage returns give his trade as Weaver, so he was a linen weaver described as a farmer by the end of his life.
