Read from the GRO marriage register page (image 5719039, marriage_returns/marriages_1904/10217) linked from the irishgenealogy.ie transcription; retrieved 2026-08-30. Quoted in the register's own column order, each party in turn: name and surname | age | condition | rank or profession | father's name and surname | rank or profession of father. Column 7 (residence at the time of marriage) is deliberately NOT quoted: both entries read as a townland followed by "Donagh", but the townland names are not confidently legible at the resolution the site publishes; my reading is Alice's as "Lisagurry" (compare Lissagorry Glebe, place #8945, her recorded birthplace) and James's as a townland beginning "Corna-". Both parties signed with a mark. The father named for James - John Gunn, already deceased in 1904 - matches the parents on his 1949 Queensland death registration ("John Gunn | Nancy Smyth", citation #49215); the father named for Alice - Patrick Donnelly - matches the tree's Patrick Donnelly (#70239); the two witnesses are surnamed Smyth, the surname of James's mother.
