"OBITUARY. MR. A. PATZWALD. Mr. A. Patzwald one of the oldest re- sidents of Cawdor passed away on Thursday morning after an illness ex- tending over three months. The deceas- ed had reached the age of 70 years, and has been a good and useful resident of the district for upwards of thirty years. His early labors were carried on at Spring Creek, and, he subsequently worked on the Gowrie road. By per- severance and industry aided by an energetic wife, he soon laid the founda- tion of a comfortable home. ... In a short time his industry carried his work to farms purchased at Geham where he settled two sons. The deceas- ed is survived by a wife, and Messrs. William, Frederick, Theodor (Geham), and August (Wutul). The daughters are Mrs. A. Nuskie (Bergen), H. Kie- mann (Wutul), F. Otto (Cawdor). The funeral left for the Highfields cemetery on Friday afternoon, and was largely attended."
