Mr. Johann George Mattschoss died at Auburn on Sunday at the age of 77. He was born at Habschen, Germany, in August, 1831, and arrived in this State in 1854, and resided at Lyndoch and the Rhine, proceeding in 1865 to Auburn, where he successfully carried on farming and grazing pursuits. He has left a widow, one son Mr. E. Mattschoss, of Skilly six daughters Mesdames Kupke, Morchard, Bermeister, of Adelaide; Steinfeldt, of Freeling; Bywaters, of Broken Hill; and Dohnt, of Stockport; and Miss Mattschoss Skilly and a number of grandchildren.

Survived by a widow, one son and 6-7 daughters -- more children than the tree's 8 (2 sons/5 daughters); none named in the notice so none added.
