For Thomas Temperley (d. 1913)

TIMPERLEY.—In loving memory of our dear father, Thomas Timper-ley, who was killed by lightning on February 17, 1913, at Ipswich. (Inserted by Fred., Did, and Jim.)

Identity: the date matches the 1913 death registration; 'Fred.' and 'Jim' fit Frederick (b.1895) and Percy James (b.1893), sons of Thomas and Christina Milne; and the 30 Sep 1941 funeral notice for their son Alfred already calls him 'the late THOMAS TIMPERLEY' while Mrs C. Timperley was living. The other Thomas Timperley (husband of Thirza Elizabeth Fontaine) must be their son Thomas b.1879 (the elder Thomas was still fathering children with Christina to 1903), who died 26 Aug 1945. 'Did' is unidentified. Place of death Ipswich from this notice.
