Thomas's entry sits between one for a daughter of Jn. and Martha Ockenden and one for John son of John and Sarah Mitten. IT ANSWERS THE PARENTAGE AND NOT THE GEOGRAPHY: this is the pre-1813 format, date and child and parents only, with no abode or occupation column, so nothing on the page explains why a couple who married at Icklesham in January 1780 and baptised there in 1784 and 1787 were at Bexhill in July 1781. Do not fetch this image again expecting an answer to that.

This couple's claim on Thomas #83023 was filed in #2328 from an Ancestry index row at quality 2; the page behind that row has now been read and names Richd. and Martha in the curate's own hand. It is the only record anywhere that names Thomas's parents - no other Thomas Crossingham, Cressingham or Crassingham was baptised in FreeREG's Sussex transcription between 1750 and 1805 - so it carries the whole link, together with his burial age of 65 in December 1846 which puts his birth in exactly this year.
