For “Event” 1907 of Leo Paul Stiller
Messrs. J. Marks, L. P. Stiller and party have recently pegged out a small lease to the south of the Government Taak paddock which lease has been called the 'Blue Duck.' It hasn't laid any gulden eggs yet.
Quoted as the OCR renders it, including "Taak" for Tank and "gulden" for golden. Read this session. This is the earliest record of Leo Paul Stiller anywhere — thirty years before the death registration that is otherwise his first appearance, and nine years before his son Ronald Verdun was born. Peak Hill was a gold and copper field; the joke in the last sentence is the paper's, not mine.
