PECH. On June 8 (suddenly), at the Laura Hospital, Johannes August, dearly beloved husband of Bertha Pech and loving father of Carl, Elfrieda, Dora, Clara, Regina, Irene, Adolf, Ruth, Hermann, Irmgard and Rufus. Aged 71 years.
He had no death date before this. An age of 71 in June 1949 fits the 29 August 1877 birth already recorded, and he is the "Johann (Appila)" of his father's 1934 obituary. NOT CREATED HERE, but recorded so they are not lost: his wife Bertha and their ELEVEN children — Carl, Elfrieda, Dora, Clara, Regina, Irene, Adolf, Ruth, Hermann, Irmgard and Rufus. One of them is traceable: a Rev. Rufus Pech of New Guinea appears at a Pech family reunion reported in the Port Lincoln Times of 15 October 1987.
