Moad family genealogy (graememoad.com), Barossa German families

A large compiled personal genealogy of South Australian Barossa German Lutheran families, published as family group sheets. COMPILED, therefore quality 1: it cites no underlying registers and is a lead, not proof. It is nonetheless demonstrably precise on dates — two of its entries were checked against real headstone transcriptions in the Australian Cemeteries Index this session and matched exactly. The host answers about half of all requests with a bare 403 regardless of User-Agent; retrying two to four times gets through.

Moad family genealogy (graememoad.com), Barossa German families Family group sheet: STILLER, Johann Samuel & SCHRAPEL, Johanne Karoline Questionable

For Johann Samuel Stiller & Johanne Karoline Schrapel

STILLER, Johann Samuel | b. 18 May 1804, Nissmenau, Saxony | im. 12 Sep 1844, 'George Washington', age: 40 | d. 17 Feb 1884, Langmeil, SA, age: 79 || SCHRAPEL, Johanne Karoline | b. 28 Jul 1817, Freidersdorf, Prussia | im. 12 Sep 1844, 'George Washington', age: 27 | d. 21 Apr 1851, age: 33 || m. ca 1830

The parents' group sheet, fetched 2026-09-05; the two spouses' columns are quoted side by side, separated by ||. Father born in the same village as his daughter. HER DEATH DATE OF 21 APRIL 1851 IS WHAT MAKES THE DAUGHTER'S RECORDED 1851 BIRTH IMPOSSIBLE. The sheet dates the marriage only as "ca 1830", so the family start date is ABT 1830 and no marriage event is created. It also names the maternal grandparents, Johann Gottlieb Schrapel (1793-1873) and Maria Dorothea Scheffler (1784-1851), who are NOT created here — one compiled generation at a time. Places: Langmeil is the Lutheran centre at Tanunda, South Australia; Freidersdorf is in Prussia. Neither is added as a place row, so the parents carry no death or birth place beyond the father's Nissmenau.
