FamilySearch's index to the Ontario civil marriage registrations. Ontario civil registration of marriages begins in 1869, so this collection cannot reach a marriage earlier than that. Distinct from the Ancestry products already in this tree (sources 1156 and 1220), which index the same underlying registers. Requires a signed-in browser session; the unauthenticated API returns HTTP 401.

Full marriage registration image viewed (existing source 1568, previously cited elsewhere in this tree). Upgrades/supersedes the vague GEDCOM-import citation (source 1156, citation ids 3206/3207/34593, raw text "Record for Alfred F Richardson" with no page or locator) already on this couple — that thin citation is left in place but a moderator may wish to remove it once this is approved. Confirms both spouses' parents exactly as already recorded in the tree.
Field values quoted in the record page's own order: name, sex, age, estimated birth year, event type, event date, event place, event place (original), source details, then the indexed parents and spouse. Supports the existing 21 AUG 1879 marriage date. FamilySearch film 1863654.
Field values quoted in the record page's own order: name, sex, age, estimated birth year, event type, event date, event place, event place (original), then the indexed parents and spouse. Supports the existing 20 DEC 1870 marriage date. The tree's place for this marriage is the county-level row #702 'Carleton, Ontario, Canada'; the record says Ottawa, which is inside Carleton County, so the two are compatible and the place is unchanged.
Field values quoted in the record page's own order: name, sex, age, estimated birth year, event type, event date, event place, event place (original), source details, then the indexed parents and spouse. Date, place and implied birth year all agree with what the tree already holds.

FamilySearch index of an Ontario civil marriage register (register image viewed; handwriting not independently legible at available resolution, so the indexed fields are relied on rather than a personal transcription). The place is indexed inconsistently — 'Lambton Mills, York, York, Ontario' does not match the original 'Wilsoncroft, Lambton, Ontario' — and Wilsoncroft is a locality in Lambton County near Bosanquet Township, where the bride's family is already documented (Find A Grave), so this citation is attached to the existing Bosanquet place record rather than the mismatched standardised one. The groom's mother's name, Jane Early, explains 'Early' as Alfred's own middle name. The bride's parents' names match, in shortened form, the fuller names and dates 'Nathon Emery Clemens (1859-1913)' and 'Catherine Ann German Clemens (1861-1937)' already cited to Minnie's Find A Grave memorial.
Evidence for Euphemia's parentage. The estimated birth year of 1847 implied by the stated age conflicts with the tree's 17 AUG 1845 by two years; recorded here, not resolved, and nothing was overwritten.
Evidence for George's parentage and birth year. The registration names both parents, which is what distinguishes this George Ferguson from the many others in Carleton County. Beware the namesake #3060, who carries the identical full name of #3059 and is his grandson; he was born 1881 and cannot appear here.
Independent evidence for Jane Richardson's maiden surname, which the tree otherwise holds only from the GEDCOM import. She had died in 1851, twenty years before this marriage, so the entry is the register recording the bride's parentage, not evidence that Jane was living.
