George Ferguson's own memorial page (source 1563, already cited on this conflict) carries a Family Members block naming a wife and son, both with their own memorials at this cemetery (102381290, 102381299), each of which reciprocally names George as spouse/parent. George is therefore a real, independently-documented, distinct man with his own family — not a bare, possibly-mistaken stub — which reinforces rather than resolves the suspicion that #3014's death/burial were copied from this memorial with the name changed. Still no direct record (church burial register, newspaper, probate) has been found either confirming John's presence at Bishops Mills or locating his actual grave in Lanark County.
