For Robert Dyball & Sarah

"Emma Dyball, baptism, 15 Feb 1852, St Margaret, Robert DYBALL, Sarah, entry 109"; "Robert Lawrence Dyball, baptism, 20 Dec 1862, St Margaret, Robert DYBALL, Sarah, entry 456"; "Eliza Elizabeth Dyball, baptism, 3 Apr 1870, St Margaret, Robert DYBALL, Sarah, fisherman, Scratby, entry 635"; "Charles William Dyball, baptism, 13 Apr 1872, St Margaret, Robert DYBALL, Sarah, Fisherman, entry 688"

Transcript columns quoted in order: name, event, date, church, father, mother, father's occupation, abode, register entry number (occupation and abode appear on some transcriptions of an entry and not others). All four children of family 4782 are matched: Emma (tree BIRT 1852 Scratby), Robert Laurence (tree BIRT DEC 1862 Scratby - baptised 20 Dec 1862), Eliza E (tree BIRT SEP 1869 - baptised Apr 1870) and Charles W (tree BIRT 1872 Scratby). Every one names Robert DYBALL, fisherman, of Scratby, and Sarah. Two further children of the same couple appear in the register and are not in the tree: Charles Robert, entry 358, 6 Nov 1859, and John, entry 533, 29 Nov 1865. Scratby itself is NOT transcribed by FreeREG - freereg-coverage reports no such place among Norfolk's 676 - so Ormesby St Margaret, its parish church, is where these families have to be looked for. The mother's maiden name is not in any of these entries and I have NOT invented one; see her citation. No marriage record was found, so unionType is left 'unknown'.

For Robert Dyball

"Eliza Elizabeth Dyball, baptism, 3 Apr 1870, St Margaret, Robert DYBALL, Sarah, fisherman, Scratby, entry 635"

Named as the father in all four of this family's baptisms, a fisherman living at Scratby. Occupation and abode are what separate him from the other Dyball fathers baptising at Ormesby St Margaret in the same decades - Samuel and Jane, also fishermen of Scratby, and James, James Christmas and Christmas. The tree's own Ancestry citation on all four children reads 'Record for Robert Rogers Dyball'; the register never gives him a middle name, so I have entered him as Robert Dyball and left 'Rogers' as an unverified lead. No dates of his own are asserted.

For Sarah

"Eliza Elizabeth Dyball, baptism, 3 Apr 1870, St Margaret, Robert DYBALL, Sarah, fisherman, Scratby, entry 635"

She is recorded ONLY as 'Sarah' - all four baptisms of this family, over twenty years, give the mother's forename and no surname. I have deliberately left the surname empty rather than fill it with a guess or with her married name. Her maiden name should come from the marriage; I searched the FreeBMD marriage index for a Robert Dyball in the Flegg and Yarmouth districts from 1848 to 1852 and found none, so the marriage is probably earlier than 1848 or was registered elsewhere. This is the one thing on family 4782 that needs a human.
