Every FreeREG Great Yarmouth entry of the late 18th and early 19th century is St Nicholas, the parish church; the town's other churches and chapels are not represented. Some entries are flagged 'Private' or 'Damaged page' by the transcriber. Coverage across 1800-1812 was CHECKED with a common-surname control and is good - 30 Smith baptisms in 1802, 12 in 1803, 17 in 1804 - so a nil result here in those years is a genuine absence from St Nicholas, not an untranscribed gap. (An earlier version of this note said the opposite; that was asserted without a control.)
