Access notes: behind a SafeLine WAF returning HTTP 468 to non-browser clients; and the NATIONAL SurnameList silently truncates at ~100 rows with no warning, so the per-district index (districtId=52 for Carleton, Ontario) must be used instead.

Same 1901 Census of Canada household row already cited on family 18108 (citation #37878), reused here to source Stephen's own birth date specifically: the census's 'birth date' column is day-precise for both spouses (Susan's 'Apr 3 1840' matches her own recorded 3 APR 1840 exactly), so Stephen's 'Jan 31 1833' corrects the '3 JAN 1833' previously on this event.
