He was reprieved and transported for fourteen years.

Worth recording on the person because it cuts against the colonial records, which all say he was born 'in the county of Suffolk'. He was gaoled at Ely by the town bailiff of Wisbech and tried in Cambridgeshire for a mare stolen at Wainfleet in Lincolnshire, so he was living in the Fens, not Suffolk, when he was taken. His English parish is still unidentified, and the compiled profile explicitly warns against the usual FamilySearch baptism match.
