The bride's half on the same page reads 'Gwendoline B Tuckett | 1915 Sep | St. Austell | Nicholls | vol 5c p.216' (already cited on the family MARR event), so the two rows are one registration. Index gives initials only; certificate not seen.

For Frederick Edwards & Mary Tills

Frederick EDWARDS 1866 Dec Islington vol 1b p.469 Mary TILLS 1866 Dec Islington vol 1b p.469

FreeBMD marriage index, columns Name | Quarter | District | Reference; the two halves of one registration, quoted as two rows. The tree already holds this family's marriage date as 28 OCT 1866, inside this quarter. The only other Mary Tills marriage in London in the window is Shoreditch 1866 Mar vol 1c p.302, where no Edwards appears, so the reference match is unique.

For George Frankham & Elizabeth Tills

George Frankham 1865 Sep Marylebone vol 1a p.1072 Elizabeth Tills 1865 Sep Marylebone vol 1a p.1072

FreeBMD marriage index, columns Name | Quarter | District | Reference; the two halves of one registration, quoted as two rows. Identical district, quarter, volume and page is what identifies them as one marriage. This is the only George Frankham marriage in any London district 1856-1868 and the only one in England in 1865. FreeBMD also carries a duplicate transcription of the bride's row at vol 1a p.1172, a page-number typo for the same entry.

For Albert R Gransden & Lottie Tills

Albert R Gransden 1912 Dec Milton Tills vol 2a p.2284

Columns as returned by the FreeBMD marriage index: name, quarter and year of registration, registration district, spouse's surname, volume and page. The bride's row is 'Lottie Tills 1912 Dec Milton Gransden vol 2a p.2284' - the identical reference is the proof that these two married each other. A search of Gransden x Tills marriages over 1890-1925 returns only this and a second one in 1918.

England & Wales, FreeBMD Marriage Index: 1837-1915 District Yarmouth · Year 1880 · Quarter Dec · Volume 4b · Page 47 Secondary

England & Wales, FreeBMD Marriage Index: 1837-1915 · General Register Office (via FreeBMD) · 1837–1915

For John George Sharman & Jane Anna Tills

"John George SHARMAN, 1880 Dec, Yarmouth, vol 4b p.47" and "Jane Anna TILLS, 1880 Dec, Yarmouth, vol 4b p.47"

Index columns quoted in order: name, quarter and year, registration district, volume and page. Both halves of one marriage registration. VERIFIED against complete index lists (re-run at limit 500 to rule out silent truncation): 1880 returns 62 Sharman marriage rows and 5 Tills marriage rows for the whole of England and Wales, and exactly one of each sits on vol 4b p.47 - John George SHARMAN and Jane Anna TILLS. Three other Sharman marriages were registered at Yarmouth in that same quarter, on vol 4b pp. 9, 38 and 59 (my original note said four and wrongly counted an 1881 entry, p.60), so the match here is by reference and not by name. The eldest child Hilda Sharman was born 1883, two years after this marriage. NOTE FOR THE MODERATOR: the tree's existing Ancestry citation on all six children reads 'Record for Jane Hannah Tills' while FreeBMD transcribes the bride as 'Jane Anna Tills'. The complete 1880 Tills list contains no 'Jane Hannah' at all, so 'Jane Anna' is the only candidate. Whether the register itself reads Anna or Hannah can only be settled from the certificate or the parish register.
