Stewart's Creek, south of Townsville (the 'Herbert' in the stored name is the federal electorate, not a locality). The spelling was changed to Stuart in February 1939, after district surveyor Clarendon Stuart; the locality is today the Townsville suburb of Stuart. Linked to the new Stuart row created earlier in this proposal. Events here are 1903-1905 electoral-roll residences.

Townsville's gaol at North Ward was replaced by a new facility at Stuart, then known as Stewarts Creek; "the original spelling was 'Stewarts' Creek, but the spelling was changed in February of 1939 to 'Stuart' Creek", after district surveyor Clarendon Stuart (1833-1912).
