Mulgrave Place was Lieutenant-Governor Grose's 1794 name for the Hawkesbury settlement (also called Green Hills), named for Constantine Phipps, 2nd Baron Mulgrave. Superseded when Macquarie laid out Windsor and the other Hawkesbury towns in 1810; linked to Windsor (#1982) as the town that succeeded it.
