Blue-grey granite open-book headstone with gilt lettering; two white footstones read DAD and MUM. Inscription as cut, left page then right page: In Loving | Memory of / OUR DEAR FATHER / FRIEDRICH / CARL / WILHELM / KUMMEROW / DIED 13TH OCT. 1963 / AGED 79 YEARS || MY DEAR WIFE / AND MOTHER / HERMINE E. / KUMMEROW / DIED / DEC. 26TH 1957 / AGED 70 YEARS / AT REST. Matches the Chapel Hill transcription cited on family 15360 (citation 37495) exactly, and confirms it is the son Friedrich (b. c.1884), not his same-named father (d. 1910), who was Hermine's husband.
