## Timeline
- 5 JUL 1803 — **Born** at Quebec, Canada — Son Stephen Martin lists his father's (Joseph's) birthplace as Quebec in the 1891 census. Headstone lists birthdate as 5 Jul 1803. Baptism record at St. Jacques L'Achigan indicates birth date of 9 Jul 1803
- 10 JUL 1803 — **Baptised** at Saint-Jacques-de-l'Achigan, Québec, Canada — I believe this to be the correct Joseph Martin, son of Joseph Martin and Marie Belec. Birth date is"the day before"(9 Jul 1803), so 4 days off the date on his grave, but my DNA results are positive for Martin dit Barnabe&Belec surnames.
- BET 1835 AND 1838 — **Residence** at Oxford on Rideau Twp, Leeds Grenville Co, Ontario, Canada — Listed as concession 1, lot 20 in land assessements and Elizabeth and Cyrus were baptised in Oxford. http://www.afhs.ab.ca/data/ontario/assessments/ox1830s.pdf
- 1839 — **Residence** at Osgoode, Ontario, Canada — Moved to Osgoode between 1838 and 1839. Last land assessment listing for Joseph Martin in Oxford was 1838 (Elizabeth & Cyrus baptisms listed Oxford as residence) while Martha's baptism (and later children) listed Osgoode.
- MAY 1842 — **Selling timber from lot in Osgoode** at Osgoode, Ontario, Canada — The Lockmaster's logs show Joseph Martin and Peter Davidson moving wood through the locks to be sold in Bytown (per the Osgoode Historical Society Newsletter June 1997)
- 1852 — **Residence** at Osgoode, Ontario, Canada — Concession 1, Lot 7 (North 1/2)
- 1861 — **Residence** at Osgoode, Ontario, Canada — Religion: Wesleyan Methodist Birthplace: Lower Canada (Quebec) Occupation: Farmer
- 1871 — **Residence** at Osgoode, Ontario, Canada — Religion: Wesleyan Methodist Origin: French Birthplace: Quebec Others: Janet (wife); Anne Davidson (possibly Janet's sister)
- ABT 1881 — **Residence** at Osgoode, Ontario, Canada
