- 9 JUL 1837 — **Designated as a missionary to Australia** at Rixdorf, Berlin, Germany — The team of missionaries were designated by Pastor Gossner at his church, the Bethlehem Bohemian Church before going to Greenock, Scotland where they were joined by the team leader, Rev Christopher Eipper.
- 13 SEP 1837 — **Departure** at Greenock, South Australia, Australia — The fever ship "Minerva" (Typhus fever)
- BET 1838 AND 1848 — **Zion Hill Mission** at Brisbane, Queensland, Australia — With ten other missionaries, Johann (John) and Clara established their families, the mission to the aborigines, being the first white settlers in the new colony at Moreton Bay. Their first son was the second born free settler in the area.
- JAN 1838 — **Arrival** at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia — Arriving on the ship "Minerva", Johann  and his wife Clara were part of a team of German missionaries to the aborigines, the first white settlers at Moreton Bay colony at Zion Hill Mission operating between 1838 and 1848. - BET 1848 AND 1892 — **After the closing of Zion Hill Mission** at Nundah, Queensland, Australia — John & Clara became farmers and together with Franz, John became a pioneer of the Caboolture area. He became actively involved in the  Lutheran, Methodist & Baptist churches in Queensland.

- 27 MAR 1892 — **Residence** at Nundah, Queensland, Australia — Formerly known as German Station Cemetery. Johann was buried at Portion 11, Section 3, Grave 89. Plaque states "An upright man ..born Driesen Prussia 1813, Missionary landed Moreton Bay 1838, suburb of Zillmere perpetuates his memory."
